About us
We offer delicious Italian food, wine, and rum.
- and nearly 600 different wine labels in various vintages and editions at approximately half the price of regular restaurant prices.
We are located within walking distance of Tivoli Gardens, close to Copenhagen Central Station, the Glyptotek Museum, and Kalvebod Brygge.
A small Italian family-run restaurant (ranked among Gastro's 10 best Italian restaurants in Copenhagen), with an integrated wine shop (in Italian, 'enoteca' means wine shop and 'l'enoteca' means the wine shop) and almost 600 different labels in various vintages and editions. Among them are more than 70 different Brunellos.
We have chosen to sell all the wines we import ourselves (approx. 90% of our range) at prices that are in line with those found in other well-stocked wine shops in Copenhagen.
Our remaining wine selection is approximately 50% above wine shop prices. Or what corresponds to +/- about half of regular restaurant prices.
In other words, at our restaurant, you can enjoy delicious Italian food, ambiance, and wine, as well as superb wine, at reasonable prices.
In 2014, we were included in the Michelin Guide, in 2017 we received our first "Excellence of Award" with 1 glass from Wine Spectator, and in 2019 we received 2 glasses.
In 2017, Jennifer Russo also earned the title of Scandinavia's first certified "Italian Wine Ambassador."
We are so proud that Jennifer Russo became Scandinavia's first Vinitaly International Academy certified Italian Wine Ambassador (VIA IWA) in 2017 and is still Denmark's only VIA certified Italian Wine Educator (IWEd) since 2020, licensed to teach VIA's Maestro Programme.
There are currently 251 VIA Italian Wine Ambassadors or Experts (IWE), with 236 in the first category and only 15 who have succeeded in obtaining the highest title of Expert. Forty-three have also studied to become certified IWEs. Since 2015, a total of 900 students have been taught, of whom only 27.89% have passed.
In 2017 and 2018, we received one glass in the Wine Spectator Excellence of Award program, and in 2019, we received two.
According to the magazine, all those who receive glasses in the program are among the world's leading wine restaurants.
