Aragosta alla Catalana e tatar di Tonno

Lobster 'Catalana' & tuna tartare


Ingredients: Serves 4

Lobster

2 live lobsters (around 700 g each – they are black when alive, not red as in the photo above)

1 bunch of celery

4 spring onions

6 large tomatoes, as green as possible

1/2 lemon

White vinegar

Extra virgin olive oil

S/P

Tuna

Extra virgin olive oil

400 g fresh tuna

20 g capers

2 spring onions

S/P

What can you do beforehand

Place all the ingredients on your kitchen table so that you're ready for 5 pm.  

Divide them into small piles on the kitchen table, as we have divided them into the shopping list above, so that the different things you need to cook are together and ready to use.

It is a good idea to

  • Bring water to a boil
  • Peel the spring onions
  • Wash the tomatoes
  • Wash the celery
  • Open the capers packaging
  • Remove the fresh tuna from its packaging (if it has any) and leave it in the refrigerator until use.

  • Big pot for the lobster
  • Bowl for the tuna
  • Bowl for the lobster
  • Lobster cracker (or just a plain nutcracker)
